Binance decided to International Women’s Day in the most honorable way: by helping them gain true power through education. Binance Charity, the philanthropic arm of the leading cryptocurrency and blockchain infrastructure provider, has made a $100,000 donation to support this mission. The funding went to Georgia’s Innovation & Technology Agency (GITA) to support web3 education and training.

This donation will enable over 100 women to study professional courses in Web3 and receive assistance to enter the job market. Binance Charity is proud of this new partnership with GITA, which aims to diversify the Web3 industry by providing financial aid for students and developing new courses. Out of the 180 scholarships available, 100 are allocated for women to pursue their passions and strengthen Georgia as a hub for women in tech.

Previous Programs Funded By Binance

Binance Charity has been committed to empowering women globally through education and humanitarian projects. The charity has already supported over 51,000 women across ten countries, including the donation of 36,215 scholarships worth over $3 million. Binance Charity has directed its donations to various Web3 education programs to assist women, as well as underrepresented and underserved groups. They managed this through workshops and higher education opportunities with top universities.

Binance Charity has launched several programs over the years in many countries. These include the DLT Talent Programme with Frankfurt Blockchain Center, the Women in Tech collaboration in Brazil, South Africa, and Burundi, and the partnership with Utiva to strengthen Africa’s tech talent hub. These projects are part of the Binance Charity Scholar Program, which enables the next generation of Web3 leaders to develop their skills, knowledge, and experience without financial barriers. Since June last year, over 80,000 applications have been received worldwide.
