EOS Main Network will launch today

The EOS BP (Block Producer) candidates decided unanimously to launch the EOS Main Network today (Saturday) around 6:00 a.m. PST .

This network will have a test-run that will last for 48 hours maximum and will be followed by a last decision round where the EOS holders will vote for the final block producers who will launch producing blocks thus the chain will be capable of running transactions and other features.

IvanOnTech, a popular Youtuber who makes technology related content, had the opportunity to listen into the BP meeting that lasted for almost 2 hours. During the show, the EOS Block Producer candidates decided on the final date regarding the launch.

The start wasn’t easy as a good few days ago news of a critical vulnerability hit the scene that stalled the well anticipated launch. Now everything seems sorted out, but we are guessing that EOS fans will only be relaxed when the network is live and is working without hiccups.
